Easy Whole Food, Plant-Based Breakfast Ideas

When I first switched to a whole food, plant-based diet I’d stress about what to eat. I’d scour the web for recipes, always on the lookout for something quick, easy, and satisfying. I spent a lot of time trying recipes with disappointing results in many cases. I didn’t have a good feel for what I liked yet, or what foods to keep on hand. I had to unlearn years of poor eating habits and replace them with healthy habits.

Plant-Based Sushi

Maybe you like sushi, maybe you don’t. I love sushi!. Before I switched to a whole food plant-based diet I probably had sushi once a week, if not more. I definitely missed it… until I discovered plant-based sushi as an option.

My favorite sammich! And it really hit the spot this evening. Quinoa Curry Bowl

Another easy to prepare meal. Got the recipe from FOK. Delicious, and nutritious! One thing I’ve found since I went whole food, plant-based is that there are a lot of great recipes out there. Many of them are time-consuming to prepare though, especially when you factor in the learning curve… I’m still new to this […]

Plant-Based “Fried Rice”

This is one of my favorites. And it’s really easy to make! The ingredients are only limited by your imagination and the contents of your refrigerator. Here’s how I made it: Ingredients: 1 bag of “riced cauliflower” (if you’re not able to find this, you can chop a head of cauliflower until it’s very fine) […]

Whole Food, Plant-Based: Day 77

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. Life happens. I’m still going plant strong, and I feel great. I’m down about 45lbs now. I still need to lose roughly 60 more. It’s getting easier, and I’m committed. I’m starting to feel better about the way I look for the first time in […]

Whole Food, Plant-Based: Day 33

I’m not sure when it happened, but I’m no longer craving, or daydreaming, about junk food. I feel like I’m set in my ways. Rock solid. Caving in isn’t even a concern at this point. I feel like this is something I can do for the rest of my life. Maybe I’ll indulge a little […]
